Chronic Lateral Ankle Pain

Chronic Later Ankle pain is characterized by reoccurring pain on the outer side of the ankle. Symptoms include swelling stiffness, tenderness and repeated ankle sprains. The most common cause of this condition can be attributed to incomplete healing after an ankle sprain. Other causes may be a torn or inflamed tendon, a fracture in on e of the bones that make up the ankle joint or arthritis of the ankle joint.
